I was absolutely head over heels in love with my wedding dress. In fact, it was the very first dress I tried on, and I just knew it would be the dress I’d get married in. But… a part of me wishes just a little that I kept it simple and actually got married in this white Bianca Jagger-esque suit. I mean, with an actual shirt in leui of the bathing suit, of course.
I bought it for my wedding shower thrown by my lovely sister-in-law Emily Smith of Edits by Emily. Somehow we ended up not taking a single high-res photo of that insanely gorgeous shower! It could have been due to the excitement of an electrical storm and tornado warning, but that is a whole other story.
Needless to say, I knew I needed to get THE SHOT of this suit, and not to toot my own horn, but I think the location speaks for itself. This terrace was off the room Rob and I stayed at in our Ravello villa. Waking up and enjoying a caffe latte here? It still doesn’t feel like real life to me.
Well, as it goes, the suit jacket was ruined by the dry cleaner, and is now a gross, dull grey. The suit trousers remain white, so I am not sure what happened there. Why does it seem like so many of my posts are about breaking my fashion heart? I lost my favorite Reformation dress and my little polka dotted number to poor judgement, but this time I was doing the responsible thing! I am considering coughing up the $150 to replace the jacket for sentimental value. Becuase don’t I deserve to have and to hold both my sweet husband AND my favorite suit ever?!
