Simple Sweater Tank

F21 Sweater Tank | Madewell Jeans | Zara Mules | Celine Glasses | Neiman Marcus Bag

On the eternal quest for the quintessential simple outfit, this sweater tank makes its case. Simple. Easy. Out the door.

Not to mention dirt cheap, as is usually the case with Forever 21. Truthfully, F21 has fallen off my list of places to shop as I’ve gotten older. It is just so overwhelming in there! And way too much trash to dig through before you find a good piece. BUT every once in a while you find a gem. I am hoping this side tie sweater tank stands the test of time, because I just adore it! However, I don’t have a whole lot of faith that it will outlast a few washes. Oh well, whatcha gonna do.

Wearing: Free People Ruffle Tube, Madewell High Riser Skinny Jeans, Cape Robin Flat Mules, Celine sunglasses

It should come as no surprise that flat mules are my favorite footwear as of late. I have worn them in quite a few posts, like here and here. This pair by Matisse is my everyday go-to pair. They are SO comfortable. I actually wore the first pair out and had to toss them. When we were in Hawaii earlier this year, Rob said they weren’t coming back with us because they were so worn. And by worn, I mean they were starting to smell. I know it is gross but we were like cracking up about it.

There’s been a few on my radar that I have yet to pull the trigger on, like this tropical pair by Schultz. They are so fun for summer! I should probably get them soon or I am going to miss my window. Though the pink ones are a bit more wallet friendly. *Insert thinking face emjoi here* Which ones are you favorite?

Wearing: Madewell shirt, One Teaspoon shorts, Zara mules (similar here), Alexander Wang bag (similar here), Madewell scarf (similar here), Vintage rings and necklace

You will find no shortage of shorts + heels combination here. It is a favorite of mine for summer! Get used to seeing these One Teaspoon shorts, too. I have never found a pair as perfect as these. And while I typically prefer a high rise element to my denim, these have that perfect mid-rise slouch that is essential for an effortless front-tuck situation. They’re very “festival season” but are easy to tone down too. I’ve been playing with the idea of investing in a less distressed version as well. You can never have enough denim shorts, right?

Wearing: Madewell jeans, Urban Outfitters tank (on sale!), Matisse mules, Blank NYC moto jacket via Stitch Fix (sold out, similar here), Gorjana lariat necklaces via Rocksbox, Ascot+Hart Texas necklace

Every girl has that one outfit. The safety net, the security blanket, the ol’ reliable. The one you wear when nothing. else. is. working. Like a lot of girls, my go-to look is made up of a lot of black. Black ripped skinnies, black moto jacket, and either black or tan mules or booties.

These black jeans from Madewell are no joke. In fact, the first pair I bought, I wore for years until they ripped beyond repair, in a place that no jeans need distressing. After having fixed them twice, I sadly retired them. To my delight, this season Madewell brought them back! I almost bought two *just in case* but they reassured me that the seams had been reinforced this time around. Get them. You won’t regret it.

On another note, I love that pins are making a comeback! During a recent trip to Hawaii, I was able to get one at nearly every place boyf and I visited. They were the perfect souvenir. Cheap, small enough to bring back, and stylish! I have a few vintage ones I have thrifted over the years too. I just love how the Saturn one (which is actually a bowling ball) has a Vivienne Westwood feel to it.
