Vintage Dress & Neck Scarf | Zara Shoes (old) | Chanel bag | Beehive Cherry Scarf

Usually, I can remember exactly when and where I got a piece of clothing. Everything I own is tied to a time or a place. I can recall the amazing deal I found on this dress from Reformation, or that I got these shorts when a friend and I bought 20 pounds of vintage clothing from a warehouse. I remember running to Dolly Pythons on my lunch break and grabbing this tee. You could ask me about anything in my closet, and I can tell you how, when and where it came into my life.

Except for two pieces. The first is a basic Forever 21 black tank. NO idea where it came from, it just appeared one day. I like to tease boyf that it’s probably because he is #cheatingonme and his dirty gumar left it in his car. He is not fond of this theory. I don’t think the mystery will ever be solved.

The second is this dress. I’ve had it for years and years, and for the life of me, I can’t remember where it came from anymore! Did I get it in Austin? Did I inherit it from an old roommate? Who knows at this point. It’s such a stunner though. It reminds me of “The 80’s take on the 20’s.” Flapper vibes with some classic 80’s details. Plus it has that “make curves look curvier” effect that I am all about. I always feel so special when I wear this piece!

Just a side note – this building is called the Fort Worth Flatiron and is modeled after the Flatiron building in New York. At 7 stories, it was once the tallest building in North Texas. AND the architect’s name was Sanguinet, which is the street I currently live on. I love learning little tidbits about my city!
