Wearing: Zara faux leather top (sold out, similar here), Madewell jeans, Vintage Levis jacket, Zara shoes, Vintage bag
I have concluded that Texas tuxedos, or any sort of denim stacking for that matter, are 100% socially acceptable. Who doesn’t love a little denim on denim action? Personally, I can’t resist it, especially with these jeans. I’ve heard the rule of mixing denim is to select two contrasting washes. However IMO, rules are for fools and pairing two matching washes together can be totally chic. Dress it up with a block heel and fun unexpected details — hello, embroidered leather with a scalloped hem!
I bought this embroidered leather top thingy on an insomnia induced whim from the Zara sale. Usually, I avoid faux leather tops because they end up being too boxy on my figure. Of course, I did not know it was that material when I bought it, as I did not read the description of course. It was 2 a.m. on a Wednesday after all. Luckily, this one seemed to work! I adore the scalloped hem and it is no secret that I am very much into embroidery. While it is the only craft I have “mastered,” embroidery seems to be missing from my closet, but I think we’re off to a good start!
