You guys, I am in full-on wedding planning mode! From the moment I started, I was told how stressful planning can be, especially planning a destination wedding. From guest lists and managing outside opinions to adhering to a budget and working with vendors overseas, I was led to believe I’d be pulling my hair out by this point. Turns out, I am so enjoying myself!
I was not the type of girl who dreamt of my wedding since I was little, just waiting for the chance to make it a reality. Sure, I had a private Pinterest board filled with swoon-worthy weddings, but that’s about the extent of it. Truthfully, the price tag of a dream wedding always turned me off, and I knew I just wouldn’t be able to stomach the cost when the money could be better spent on a life-changing trip or even a down payment on a house. Most of our costs have been for things that are really important to us: food, photos, and location. For the rest, we are making sure to keep it simple, affordable, and are flexing our DIY muscles. Overall, the choices we’ve made so far have allowed the planning process to be fairly seamless, stress-free, and really exciting! Here are five wedding planning updates to catch you up to speed!
Here are some of the inspiration photos I have been collecting as I plan!

It has been too stinkin’ long since Rob and I have just gone out and messed around with the camera. It is what we love to do most, but with work and life and yada yada, it often gets dropped as a priority. But today we got our butts in gear (pun intended)! I’ve had a car crush on our friend Spencer’s car since he got it. Can you blame me? This cream-colored vintage Mercedes is all the dreamy vibes. He is on the verge of selling it, which made us jump on the opportunity to shoot it before it was too late, and we had so much fun! Shooting with a vintage car has been on our photography bucket list since we picked up the hobby. Thanks to Spencer for making it happen!
My wardrobe has seemingly taken a sharp turn. Lately, I ruthlessly gravitate towards white, white, white! I saw this look from wide eyed gless about a year ago, and have since been searching for the perfect white jeans to recreate it. White jeans are tricky for me. Something about them can give off a preppy vibe, which I feel is so not me. They instantly make me think of sorority girls with turquoise camis, so finding the perfect pair that still have a bit of edge was imperative. I love this pair for a few reasons. For one, they have a demi cropped bootcut fit which I have been obsessed with lately! My skinnies hardly see the light of day anymore, it is all about the cropped flares. This particular pair also has a raw scissor hem (fun!) and are made of cord fabrication. Lord knows I love texture. Last, they were only $50. What?! Makes it totally worth it, especially since I spilled black tea on the first pair I bought the very first time I wore them. On the crotch. Before presenting to a room in front of 50+ people. Oops.
Accidents aside, I feel like I found *the* pair of white jeans!
